By Muhammad Ibn Faqih. The Prophet sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam mentioned he was only sent to perfect the manners.  In Islam, behavior is not just what society dictates, but is shaped by belief and a divine system of morality.  In this lecture series, Muhammad Faqih goes through a thorough look at the Islamic system of behavior.  He discusses a person’s behavior with Allah, then with the Prophet sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, his/her community, and even his/her own self.  Personality, self-identity, anger management, and levels of love are addressed.  A great lecture for anyone looking for self-improvement and wishing to obtain the right attitude in life.

Mohammed Faqih

Hailing from a lineage of scholarship, Mohammed Faqih traces his roots back to the ancient city of Harar in the Horn of Africa. Originally from Yemen, his forefathers immigrated to East Africa and played a central role in the Islamic history of the region.

Mohammed Faqih completed a B.A. in Islamic Studies from the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in America in Fairfax, VA, and graduated in Quran Memorization and Recitation from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Previously, he has held the positions of Imam [spiritual leader and advisor] at the Islamic Community Center of Laurel in Laurel, MD and at the Islamic Center of San Diego in San Diego, CA. He has also acted as an assistant Imam at the Islamic Association of Raleigh, NC and as a teacher at the Al-Iman School in the same community.

Currently, Mohammed Faqih resides with his family in Cary, NC and is an instructor with AlMaghrib Institute, an organization that provides trademark double-weekend seminars leading students towards a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies. His most recent course of instruction is The Rules of Engagement, on Islamic ethics and manners.

a person who can support such messed-up picture can make such comments. Stop supporting the deviance of your people and accept the haqq. Khubatha like you are in abundance in our ummah now!

SubhanAllah. You'd think a line like "you can't judge a book by it's cover would apply here". But a more accurate assessment would be "your judgement is based on your ignorance". The cd cover is excellent. The speaker is knowledgeable. SubhanAllah. The people making crude remarks are EXACTLY who this cd is for. May Allah guide us all, because obviously some of us are lost.

You have to have respect for people's comments! Don't shut up your bro/sis like this. Just make your own comments. Just because you are fascinated by someone's service to Islam doesn't mean you should abuse others by saying what not! The picture is much better than you stinky attitude!

Mashallah HE is an awsome person! I took Rules of Engagement in Al Maghrib as him as my teacher, subhanallah, such beautiful manners. Really give him a chance and please don't rate him based on the cover. If you have any feedback on the lecture, please phrase it in a nice way. We are muslims here, so inshallah we should all try to be kind to one another. :)

I have not heard the CD, but with the look of it, i will never appreciate to buy such CD, it looks like a "kuffar CD" with all due respect to your productions. This is not the proper way to predict a theme - subhanAllaah, I hope next time, you are not gonna put obscene pics to indicate how zina is absolutely haram!

Why would anyone rate the CD based on the cover picture? Maybe that is exactly what the lecture is about, that our attitudes and the way we present ourselves to society and to other muslims are what we are judged by. The cover picture is probably more of an example of "what not to do" in Islam. I have not yet listened to the lecture but I gave it 3 stars because I thought it was unfair to give it a low rating based on the cover. At least give it a chance.

I agree with the first rating. The message of this CD cannot be appreciated because of the offensive picture on the cover. How do we expect a positive dawah while publishing inflammatory images such as this? I cannot understand this choice whatsoever. It does not signify attitude nor Islam.
